We are seeking Technical Project Manager with hands-on experience in Stuttgart, Germany.
Works to develop advanced project plans, concepts, and standards for Department of Defense related projects. Coordinates and supervises the plans, programs, designs, and documentation required to execute life cycle refresh of hardware and software, introduction of new capabilities, and network enhancements.
Conducts customer project progress reviews, builds and reports status briefs to military and government leadership. Coordinates and directs activities for temporary consulting resources to carry out various aspects of the engineering phases of large complex projects.
Responsible for gathering customer requirements, developing project scope, charter, and working directly with engineering teams to author conceptual design plans, engineering plans, implementation plans, and operations turnover documentation in accordance with local configuration management requirements.
Must be able to participate in engineering reviews, articulate complex designs, and build decision briefs for leadership to make recommendations for new requirement solutions and architecture changes. Responsible for the submission and tracking of hardware, software, and professional services procured to support projects. Requires knowledge of networking fundamentals, virtualization, and DoD network security requirements.
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
Reviews status of projects and budgets, manages schedules, and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, clients and other stakeholders.
Qualifications / Certifications
- CompTIA Security+ (or other DoD 8570.01-M compliant certification)
- Project Management Professional (PMP)®
- Candidates must have an active Secret clearance
- Knowledge of DoD Coalition networks
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Must meet TESA requirements
