We are seeking Systems Administrators in our Djibouti, South Africa office, part of our CITS program.
Provides Tier II and Tier III troubleshooting and problem resolution for classified and unclassified Microsoft Server Operating System technologies including Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008 R2, and Windows Server 2012 in a geographically distributed environment. Reviews, researches, and applies system and application patches, hotfixes, service packs, and security configuration for CYBERCOM and DISA STIG compliance. Researches and implements lessons learned for unplanned system/application outages. Manages enterprise Active Directory forests, AD-Integrated DNS, Group Policy Objects, External DNS, DHCP, and Distributed File Services.
Researches and recommends upgrades or enhancements for the IT/system infrastructure, as needed. Maintains awareness of technology evolution and proactively recommends further investigation where warranted.; Researches hardware and software issues and prepares system design specifications to meet requirements. Ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced. Applies IAVA/STIGs for servers.; Establishes policies and procedures regarding access methods and time, security validation checks, and documentation.; Evaluates, develops, and maintains servers and storage systems. Resolves downtime issues.
Acts as a technical lead for junior technicians, locally or spread across multiple locations. Oversees the acquisition, installation, maintenance, and usage of systems that comprise the IT/system Infrastructure. Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources. Develops and implements testing strategies and documents results. Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery. Interacts with users and evaluates vendor products. Provides advice and training to end-users. Maintains the integrity and security of servers and systems. Sets up administrator and service accounts. Maintains system documentation. Manages the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems.
Provides Tier II and Tier III troubleshooting and problem resolution for classified and unclassified server and network enterprise services for core Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Server 2008 R2, Server 2012 R2, Threat Management Gateway, Forefront Identity Manager 2010, DNS, DHCP, and PKI in a physical and virtual (VMware) environment. Must have deep understanding and knowledge of Server 2008 R2 and Server 2012 R2 operating systems to include installation, configuration, patching, and maintenance. Must be able to troubleshoot and manage Group Policy Objects as well as perform server backup/recovery operations. Requires routine interpretation and implementation of related DISA STIGs and CYBERCOM TASKORDs to enhance the security posture of the environment. Responsible for updating the security posture of assets in the vulnerability management system of record and submissions of waivers and risk acceptance for non-mitigated findings. Uses Remedy ITSM to track network, server, and services outages and issues and provides incident and problem management. Monitors all network services using Systems Center Operations Manager and What’s Up Gold technologies. Uses Systems Center Configuration Manager 2012 to applies operating system and application patches, hotfixes, and upgrades. Develops and maintains updated SOPs/TTPs for network enterprise servers and applications and mentors staff on Microsoft technologies. Maintains a broad knowledge of operating systems, new security, and network monitoring technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and able to work with Senior Military Leadership
- Strong knowledge and experience with troubleshooting Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, and DFS
- Solid understanding and experience with TCP/IP

Must have 11 Years experience; Required Education:Bachelors; Desired Education:Masters
- CompTIA Security+ with computing environment or other certification IAW DoD 8570.1 Technical Level III (CISSP OR CASP)
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) 2012 or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP) 2008
- Candidates must have an active US Secret Clearance
- Willingness to work flexible hours
- Shift work may be required
- On Call Status may be required
Must be able to pass Theatre & Country clearance.
