PLATFORMS Systems Engineer - Stuttgart

We are seeking Systems Engineers for our Stuttgartt, Germany team.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with Systems Center suite of products
  • Familiarity with industry best practices for application virtualization, virtual desktop image creation, an user experience optimization
  • Experience with deploying and maintaining Citrix Provisioning Services, virtual desktop images, application of XenDesktop Citrix policies, and hands-on Windows 10 virtualization
  • Hands on experience planning, designing, implementing, and maintaining Citrix Infrastructure (XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler) is a plus
  • Experience with Dell Servers Blade Chassis, and Cisco Unified Computing Systems (UCS)
  • Experience planning, deploying and maintaining operating system images in a VDI environment
  • Proven experience with DoD security hardening procedures (STIGs)
  • Perform systems/platforms engineering functions including: conceptualization, design, implementation, and optimization. 

  • Assess evolving customer needs, translate those needs into platforms solutions through installation and configuration of hardware and software acquisitions 
  • Serve as a resource on IT engineering projects to provide quality solutions and meet deadlines
  • Create automation by scripting repetitive tasks
  • Manage and support Active Directory (directory services, DFS, DNS, GPO)
  • Monitor production systems and participate in on-call rotation requirements 
  • Document requirements and properly manage updates & deployments using existing change management processes
  • Participate in the evaluation and recommendation of new products, maintains knowledge of emerging technologies for application to the enterprise
  • Evaluates and tests Microsoft and third party technologies to establish their potential use
  • Participate in the identification and resolution of complex end user computing problems (Tier 3 support) utilizing structured trouble-shooting tools and techniques
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers; provide cross-training to existing support personnel
  • Manage customer and stakeholder needs, generate and develop requirements, and performs functional analysis

Required Skills: 

  • Hands on experience planning, designing, implementing and optimization of Microsoft technologies
  • Experience working with complex database driven systems, Active Directory principles, troubleshooting complex systems
  • In-depth understanding of data flows, application protocols, and access control
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills

Qualifications / Certifications

  • BS or equivalent + 8 yrs. related experience, or MS + 5 yrs. related experience
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) 2008 or 2012 (Required) 
  • DoD 8570.1 Technical Level II (Required) 
  • Must be able to pass TESA
