EUCOM Forensic Technical Representative (FTR) 

  • Serves as a Defense Forensic Science Center (DFSC) Forensic Exploitation Directorate (FXD) Forensic Technical Representative (FTR) in support of United States European Command (EUCOM)

  • Provides forensic knowledge, expertise and advice to EUCOM staff concerning collection, preservation and exploitation of material

  • Provides subject matter expertise on Forensic Exploitation Capabilities

  • Integrates forensic standards and capabilities between EUCOM, USAREUR, other EUCOM service components as well as Partner Nations (PNs), while representing DFSC-FXD’s capabilities

  • Serve as a conduit for feedback and lessons learned to FXD from EUCOM leadership and PM engagements
  • Facilitates "reach back" forensic exploitation support through the FXD Global Forensic Exploitation Center (GFXC) and information sharing between DFSC-FXD and USAREUR and EUCOM staff.
  • Maintain familiarization with FXD forensic exploitation capabilities, processes and equipment, and understanding of biometric collection devices
  • Facilitates the staffing of CCMD requests for FXD capabilities and support
  • Provides input and assistance in the development of CCMD forensic policies and programs
  • Briefs technical forensic exploitation capabilities, requirements and efforts to support the CCMD



  • Possesses a current DoD TS/SCI
  • Bachelors Degree with ten (10) years of experience supporting the forensic and biometric community to include working for Intelligence and Law Enforcement agencies such as NGIC, the FBI, USACIL or other forensic laboratories.  Ten years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience preparing and presenting technical reports, cases and briefings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in a deployed environment in support of a named operation is desired
  • Experience in forensics evidence collection or site exploitation is desired
